Project call 2026

The Faculty Clinical Research Platform (FCRP) of the Vetsuisse Faculty Bern is now accepting applications for its 2026 funding round.

The program supports early-career researchers in clinical disciplines (PhD students or advanced postdocs) through (partial) personnel funding, aiming to strengthen academic careers in areas with a shortage of young clinical scientists. Supported Projects

Who can apply:

• PhD students

• Advanced postdocs aiming for habilitation

What is funded:

• (Partial) funding of the applicant’s position
• Funding for supporting personnel (e.g., PhD student, Dr. med. vet., lab technician)
• No funding for project-related costs

Eligibility:

Applicants must be affiliated with one of the three departments of the Vetsuisse Faculty Bern. If the main applicant is not a member of the DKV, a DKV co-applicant on an academic career track is required.
